All arrangements have been concluded for soccer enthusiasts as Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC have agreed to clash with city rival, Kwara United FC of Ilorin on Sunday for the Easter holiday.
The ABS Director of Football, Alloy Chukwuemeka, disclosed to newsmen on Friday in Ilorin that the match was put together to entertain soccer lovers who are in town for the Easter celebrations.
“It is done all over the world that matches are for fixed for the festive period to entertain soccer fans.
“Most Kwara United and ABS loyalists are in Ilorin hence the need to give them something Easter.
“We took this decision because of the postponements in both the Nigeria National League (NNL) and the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
“The match will afford ABS an opportunity to assess its readiness for the season while it will help Kwara United to prepare ahead of the Sunshine Stars clash” Chukwuemeka said.
According to the ABS Director of Football, the match is scheduled for 4:00pm while fans will have to pay a token of N50 for the gate fee.
