Abia Angels begin Ali National Female Super 4 with a bang

Abia Angels FC of Aba put up a solid performance this afternoon in the opening game of the annual Ali National Inter-Street and Female Super4 Competition sponsored by Mr Chetachi Solomon AKA Ali National at the Ogbor Hill Primary School field Aba.

Blessing Echeipu opened scoring for Abia Angels with a screamer from the 25yard range in the 17th Minute of the game.

Few minutes later, Abia Angels goalkeeper Elizabeth Nwachukwu denied De Lioness FC a chance of equalising after making a save.

In the 40th minute, Chiamaka Okwuchukwu’s efforts paid off as she made it 2 nil for Abia Angels.

Deep into the second half, goalscorer Blessing Echeipu was sent off for a bad tackle on De Lioness FC player.

It didn’t really show as substitute Nwamaka Nnaneme put it beyond De Lioness FC after scoring in the 89th minute to end the game 3-0 in favour of Abia Angels.

Assistant Coach of Abia Angels,Chukwu Igwe after the match expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance and assured that all grey areas will be fixed before NWPL game against Sunshine Queens in Akure on April 11.
