Umar Zango admits his goal against Abia Warriors is the best in his whole career’, while looking forward to Lobi Stars-Elkanemi Warriors.
The defender has been terrific for the Pride of Benue, inclusive of a remarkable goal against their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 15 opponent at midweek.
“I was looking for the space to shoot, but I had many players in front of me,” he told Futbalgalore.com.
“I skipped the first, then the second and even the third. At last I saw the keeper off his line and I gave it a try.
“I saw it again after the game. It is certainly the best goal in my whole career.
“I shot hard, fortunately the ball went in. We are still first in the table and we can win the league title at the end of the season.”
“Now there’s Elkanemi Warriors next for us,” he said, in relation to Sunday’s NPFL opponents, at 4pm Nigerian time.
“They are an adversary with a very good history behind them and a name worthy of a top club.
“On Sunday we’ll be up for a tough 90 minutes at the Aper Aku Stadium.
“We’re going to face another difficult match, I’m absolutely certain of that.”
