Nasarawa United skipper Emmanuel Makama believes the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title is still “an achievable target” this season.
Makama was voted man of the match as the Lafia based side defeated Katsina United 2-1 in the North/Central derby on Wednesday afternoon.
The Solid Miners have taken just 19 points from their opening 15 games, but the left back is not throwing in the towel.
“We are gradually finding our feet and showing what we are capable of doing,” Makama considered, speaking to Futbalgalore.com
“The game we won against Katsina United was extremely difficult. We showed that the winning spirit is still in our ranks.
“The NPFL title? It’s still an achievable target, because we’re Nasarawa United and we always fight to win. We haven’t started well, but we’ll fight to the end.”
