Heartland FC forward, Afeez Mohammed, has played down his club’s struggles despite the club sitting at 18th spot on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) standings.
The Naze Millionaires have only picked four points in their last five league matches this season, and the skillful lad has said that the team are looking to turn their fortunes around, but there’s no need to panic.
“We know we are not where we belong,” he told Futbalgalore.com.
“We need to pull ourselves out of that position and make things work for the team but there is no need to press panic buttons at this moment.”
He went on to say that his team will be pushing to achieve results, and that the next league match against Elkanemi Warriors provides an opportunity to get things right out on the pitch.
“We have to work hard and get results. The week 17 match will also help us look at our mistakes and a win against Elkanemi would boost our morale and confidence,” the player concluded.
