The management of Delta Force Football Club of Asaba have parted ways with their coach, Victor Agali on mutual consent but heaved praises on him for his efforts in his short stay with the Ambassadors.
Victor who started with Delta Force January this year, had his last game in charge at home at the Jay-Jay Okocha Stadium,Ogwashikwu where he drew to a 10-man Osun United of Oshogbo 0-0 in matchday two in group B2.
The former Nigerian international striker had lost a whooping 4-2 to Rovers of Calabar in the season’s opener at the UJ Esuene Stadium, Calabar.
The decision of the club to part company with Victor may not be unconnected with a disappointing start for a club desperately chasing promotion to the elite class.
According to a statement from the team’s spokesperson Jude Agbeke, chairman of the club, Moses Etu said coach Victor Agali had done his best to take Delta Force to a high level but quickly noted it became inevitable at the point that they no longer need his services.
Moses however wished Victor Agali who is chief scout with the Super Eagles of Nigeria the best in his future assignment.
His immediate assistant Abdulwahab Haruna has been directed to immediately assume the headship of the coaching crew in the interim.
With this development, Victor Agali becomes the first coach in the NNL to be relieved off his duty.
Agali was in charge of AS Racines of Lagos in the 2016/2017 NNL season.
