Kwara United head coach Abubakar Bala has praised his side after they drew 1-1 with Niger Tornadoes at the Bako Kontagora Stadium on Sunday.
Segun Alebiosu’s first half goal was cancelled out by Eric Frimpong in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) week 21 clash in Minna.
Bala, who led Tornadoes a second place finish in the 2017 Aiteo Cup said in a chat with Futbalgalore.com, I’ve got to congratulate my boys because Niger Tornadoes put us under pressure in the second half.
“You clearly saw the amount of effort they put in in the second half.
“It’s a huge sacrifice playing away and we did it really well.”
Bala then commented on his return to Minna after his exit before the 2018 NPFL season got underway.
“I am happy and grateful for the reception the fans gave me. I want to thank them all.
“I will never forget my stint as a coach here.”
