Simy Nwankwo and Odion Ighalo received massive applauds from those who thronged the Practise Pitch of the Godswill Akpabio Stadium to watch the training of the Super Eagles ahead of their friendly match with DR Congo.
The Crotone top striker proved his talent and skills on the ball just like Ighalo and displayed impressive performance which forced those at the venue to hail him.
Simy’s pair with Kelechi Iheanacho in one of the two teams that played an intensive game was hugely lauded by all who came to watch the team train.
A great effort by the lanky striker was graced by massive clapping with some shouting “… great play. That is the mark of a great striker.”
“I have followed him from Portugal and I am not surprised with his performance because I know what he can do. But from what he has done today, you can see everyone is in love with his play,” a top official of the Super Eagles told Futbalgalore.com.
Others who trained were Kenneth Omeruo, William Troost Ekong, Ola Aina, Francis Uzoho and Ikechukwu Ezenwa.
