Gernot Rohr has stated that lanky striker Simy Nwankwo has a 50-50 chance of being included in the Super Eagles’ World Cup team.
Simy, 26, grabbed seven goals for Crotone in the 2017/18 Serie A campaign and gatecrashed into the Eagles preliminary 30-man team for the Mundial in Russia.
The former Portimonense and Gil Vicente forward has been a delight to watch since his arrival at the Eagles training camp in Uyo ahead of the friendly match against Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday.
In a Media Parley that took place on Friday in Uyo, the former Niger Republic boss said,” We will list our final 23 after the game in London against England.”
“I have 20 players already that will make the list.”
“Simy Nwankwo has a 50-50 chance of going to the World Cup,” the German tactician stated.
Simy is expected to make his international debut for Nigeria against Democratic Republic of Congo at the Adokiye Amiesiemaka Stadium on Monday.
