Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has named “Oyinbo Combo” Leon Balogun and William Troost Ekong in his back four Super Eagles in today’s friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo in Port Harcourt.
The duo are included along with Tyronne Ebuehi and Elderson Echiejille in the defence line.
Red hot strikers, Simy Nwankwo and Junior Lokosa were handed their debuts with starters berths. They will be complemented by Leicester City machine striker Kelechi Iheanacho.
Eddy Ogenyi Onazi is expected to captain the Eagles, he will sit in front of the back four.
Deportivo La Caruna youngster Francis Uzoho will start in goal for the three-time African champions.
Rohr also named Oghenekaro Etebo and Joel Chukwuma Obi in the starting XI.
