Following their successful meeting with His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) at the Presidential Villa on Wednesday morning – the Super Eagles are set to jet out to London to keep a date with England in an international friendly match on Saturday.
The meet was an opportunity for the country’s number one citizen to meet with and wish the three-time African champions well on their way to a sixth appearance at the FIFA World Cup.
The session took place at the Federal Executive Council chambers at 10am, just before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting.
Youth and Sports Minister, Barrister Solomon Dalung presented the country’s ambassadors to President Buhari.
The jet, which took Liverpool to their UEFA Champions League final match against Real Madrid in Kiev, would take the Super Eagles to London today for the international friendly against the English national team at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
After Saturday’s friendly with England, the Jet will take the Eagles to Austria for final preparation for the FIFA World Cup finals in Russia, which kicks off on June 14.
