Oil Magnate and Billionaire businessman , Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah ,has thanked all those who took part to celebrate the 2018 Children’s Day with him on 28th May, 2018, at the FC Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium Nnewi, maintaining that their noble presence were highly felt and appreciated.
Dr. Ubah, the Anambra South Senatorial hopeful for 2019, under the platform of All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, in a statement personally signed by him today, Wednesday, 30th May, 2018, specifically appreciated the Executive Governor of Anambra State, H.E. Willie M. Obiano (Akpokuedike) for his giant and transformational orchestral strides in education sector. He says: “Words are not enough to describe how special and memorable it was to celebrate with our wonderful children, the 2018 National Children’s day at the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium Ozubulu/Nnewi.
According to the Publisher, Authority Newspapers, “it was a thing of immense pleasure and joy for me to host such a memorable ceremony which was observed, not just to commemorate and celebrate our children, but also to give due regard to the values, morals, innocence and brilliance these little ones exemplify.
“The attendance of over 250 private schools across Anambra which saw over 10,000 Nursey and Primary school students grace our stadium was a great honour as well as a firm reminder on the urgent need to further the significant strides that have been made in the educational sector over the years while bringing to the fore, the yearning for more of our individual investment and commitment towards establishing a sufficient number of academic institutions in a bid to ensure that qualitative education is accessible in every nook and cranny of Anambra State and Nigeria, by extension.
The President/Chairman, FC IfeanyiUbah/Anambra State FA, went further to shower encomium on the Executive Governor of Anambra State, “I wish to recognize and appreciate our amiable and outstanding Governor, H.E. Willie Obiano (Akpokuedike) for creating a conducive environment on which our education sector has thriven. The successive awards being won by the children of Anambra State is a testament to the giant and transformational strides orchestrated by our willingly working Governor.
“I also wish to acknowledge the efforts of the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha for being the willing vessel through which the Governor’s vision for our education sector is being implemented and actualized.
The Chairman, Capital Oil & Gas, has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), parents, guardians and teachers for honouring his invitation to celebrate the 2018 Children’s day with him. He pointed that the importance of the concerted efforts and support displayed in the enhancement and development of the young ones cannot be overemphasized. He pointed that it was wonderful watching our Anambra Children perform with great enthusiasm and zeal. He went on to commend the teachers and non-teaching staff of the schools who made it to the annual celebration, for working towards the maximization of their potentials as each child was full of confidence and energy. He highlighted the impressive presentations and displays delivered by the students as top notch as such demonstrated how well our children have been groomed for the future.

Dr. Ubah, who was recently appointed into the African Cup of Nations CAF Committee has also extended his unreserved and special gratitude to the Royal Fathers who graced the wonderful celebration, adding panache and elegance to the event.

For an excellent performance of little Master Chinaemelu Ifenna who was awarded a scholarship, Dr. Ubah, says, “I wish to specially recognize and appreciate an 11 years old boy, Master Chinaemelum Ifenna of Deli V. International School, Amichi, for an excellent rendition at the celebration. Children like you are a shining light with which the assurance of a brighter tomorrow is strengthened.
“The scholarship which was awarded to you yesterday, by Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation, was given to serve as a boost and inspiration to other primary and secondary school students as you all are full of promise, hope and potentials. I have no doubt that every one of you will excel in your future roles and become great, indispensable assets to your generation as well as contribute to the well-being of our society, Nation and the world at large. You are the future and hope of a better tomorrow.
“I celebrate you all once again and thank you all,” he concluded.
