Super Eagles boss, Gernot Rohr has released his final 23-man squad for the 2018 World Cup to be played in Russia.
Torino midfielder Joel Obi made the cut, with Mikel Agu and Ola Aina dropped by the former Niger Republic head coach.
John Obi Mikel, Kenneth Omeruo, Ogenyi Onazi and Victor Moses are set to appear in their second consecutive World Cup finals.
Nigeria’s hopes of progressing from a difficult group that includes Croatia, Iceland and Argentina are likely to hinge on the trio of Alex Iwobi, Moses, Mikel, as well as Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi.
The selected 23 players will head to Austria on Sunday to prepare for a final friendly match against Czech Republic on June 6th before the team arrive in Russia for the World Cup.
