Coach Abubakar Bala praised his Kwara United side for their attitude in defeating FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Sunday.
Week 23’s fixture saw defender Chinedu Sunday earned the result and points for the Harmony Boys.
“We were determined to win this home game,” mused Bala in a chat with Futbalgalore.com
“It was also a well-deserved victory in what was a very difficult match. It was tough for us to find the goal.
“Despite everything we maintained our control, and I’m extremely pleased with the result as we really deserved this win.
“It was a crazy, tough game to overcome, which is often the case against teams like FC Ifeanyi Ubah. The reason I’m so happy with the result is because we overcame every difficulty and still won the match.
“We always select the best line-up we can for every match. We played well against Akwa United, which is why I didn’t want to change the formation.
“There’s still a lot of work to be done, and it’s going to be a long road ahead.”
Kwara United are 15th on the league log with 29 points from 24 games.
