Striker Kelechi Iheanacho believes that Nigeria won’t be put off by the raucous atmosphere they will find in Russia this summer.
The Super Eagles will touch down on Thursday in Kaliningrad ahead of the game against Croatia.
And the Leicester City attacker has insisted that the clash with the Blades will be key.
“We know what kind of atmosphere to expect,” he told Futbalgalore.com.
“We have more stability and unity.
“It is a key game because it’s the first one.
“We know that if we can beat Croatia, it will be an important step for us.”
The former Manchester City man then commented on his role in the team.
“This is my first World Cup. I like the fact that it is a chance to defend the colours of this great country.
“When I am given an opportunity, I’ll try give the best I can and if we all do that collectively, the team will benefit.
The Eagles will hope to fly against Croatia on Saturday at the 35,000–capacity Kaliningrad Arena.
