The Super Eagles will tackle their FIFA World Cup 2018 group match against Croatia by the scruff of the neck, striker Simeon “Simy” Tochukwu Nwankwo has declared.
Both sides will face off at the Kaliningrad Stadium on Saturday.
Victory for Nigeria at the expense of the Blades will see them start the tournament on a good footing, and Simy has revealed that his side are “not afraid” of their opponents.
“We are not afraid of anything. We want to make it a long, long day for them,” Simy told Futbalgalore.com.
“We need to have the perfect game, physicality, good defence, steely midfield, perfect attack, a good game, then we will have a chance.
“We will have to put pressure on them in every position. It will be a war in the forwards and the backs. We have a really good backline as well. It’s always a war, it’s football.”
Simy is currently on the books of Italian outfit Crotone.
