President/Chairman of FC IfeanyiUbah/Anambra State FA; Member, Confederation of African Football, AFCON and CEO of Capital Oil and Gas, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has urged Nigerians to continue to shower unending support to our National team despite their disappointing outing in their Match with Croatia. He also pledged that Nigerian contingents in Russia will continue to put in their best to ensure that the team’s performance improves.
He stated this through a press statement personally signed by him on Saturday, 16th June, 2018, he said, “Dear Compatriots,I wish to thank you all for your staunch support, best wishes and prayers since Nigeria secured her spot to participate in this year’s World Cup.
“For those of us here in Russia, we all came here to support the Super Eagles. The boys did their best and I wish to appreciate them for that even though we had hoped for a better start to our Russia 2018 campaign. Man proposes but God disposes!”
“Despite the unfavourable result, I believe the strength of our never-say-die attitude is one that will see us through in the end. At this time, there is urgent need to rally round our troop with ceaseless words of encouragement.
“Today’s match was a lesson though, as the Croatians greatly outnumbered the Nigerian supporters in the stands, effectively spurring their players on to victory. To this end, we shall be sending for reinforcements which will be made manifest in our next match against Iceland. We will make sure our numbers count in the stands in a bid to spur our players to victory.”
“Everyone back home in Nigeria should be rest assured that we will do our best to get Nigeria back on track. It is not over till it is over!”
“I thank you all for prayers, best wishes and support so far. Victory shall be ours in the end,” he concluded.
