Simeon “Simy” Nwankwo has insisted that Nigeria will regroup and win their remaining two group games.
The Super Eagles lost 2-0 to Croatia in Kaliningrad on Saturday night, and the striker who made his World Cup debut with a late cameo has claimed that the team will come together and be better as a result.
“We have to win the two games that are left,” he told Futbalgalore.com after the game.
“There are small details that tip the balance. But it was difficult for us tonight.
“We are prepared for whatever comes. We’ll do our work, but we won’t forget about this.”
Nigeria will face Iceland on Thursday 21st June.
