Katsina United head coach, Abdullahi Usman Biffo has said Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr should keep faith with winger Victor Moses for their next World Cup game, against Iceland on Friday.
The winger was below par for Nigeria in the 2-0 loss to Croatia, leading to calls for him to be benched.
But Biffo feels Rohr should retain the Chelsea star, revealing that’s what he’d do if he was in charge of the Super Eagles.
“I wouldn’t leave Moses on the bench for Iceland,” Futbalgalore.com reports Biffo as saying.
“His role is a very delicate one and I don’t like to change a player because of a bad game.
“Only change as a result of a particular moment in a way that makes clear that a game changer is not fit, that you don’t have confidence in him, or stability, when you get a feeling you better make a change.
“Moses has a very good track record with the national team. He’s a good players with the confidence of the Coach and had a bad game.
“Personally, for me that’s not enough to change him.”
