Akwa United resume training after World Cup break

Players and the technical crew of Akwa United Football club have returned to their camp in Uyo after embarking on 18 days FIFA World Cup break.

The Promise Keepers went on break after recording their second away win of the season in Damaturu against Yobe Dersert Stars on the 10th of June.

The 2017 Aiteo Cup Champions will begin training Thursday morning at the Uyo Township Stadium as part of preparations for the remaining 14 matches of the current NPFL season.

Akwa United are second on the table with 41 points from 24 matches just two points behind leaders Lobi Stars. The Uyo based side will travel to Ilorin to engage Kwara United when the league resume next month.
