Albanian Superliga side, Partizani Tirana has secured the services of talented young midfielder Henry Chimuchem Okebugwu on a two year deal.
He joins the Reds from FK Egnatia whom he teamed up with in 2017, and linked up with his Tirana team mates for his first training session on Friday.
The product of Umuahia based New Generation Football Academy was in the same Golden Eaglets set as Kelechi Nwakali, but couldn’t make the 2015 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations and World Cup rosters after suffering an injury.
Okebugwu said he was thrilled with the move and declared he can’t wait for the new season to kick off.
“I’m delighted to be joining such an iconic club in Partizani Tirana,” the attacking midfielder told Futbalgalore.com.
“The club has fantastic support and I’m looking forward to playing in front of The Reds.
“The lure of working under Skender Gega was a huge draw card and like Partizani I’m always striving for silverware which I believe we can achieve this season.
“I’ve got my eyes set on regular first team football and I’m eager to get underway.”
Often deployed in central midfield, the 20 year old is equally adept on the right hand side of attack.
As a 20 year old he is young and hungry and has taken a brave step coming to Partizani. His attributes will bring quality competition for places in the team.
