Super Eagles skipper John Obi Mikel has returned to training Tianjin Teda after missing their last two league due to a knee injury.
This news will gladden the heart of Eagles boss Gernot Rohr will be hoping to have the former Chelsea star the upcoming 2019 African Cup of Nations Qualifier against Seychelles.
Obi, 31, has not featured for Tianjin since the game his team lost 2-1 to CQ Dangdai Lifan on July 21.
Tianjin take on Henan Jianye on Friday in a Chinese Super League (CSL) game and may be able to utilise Obi again after the midfielder took part in an “intense session” with the squad on Wednesday.
Uli Stielike’s charges are 8th on the CSL log with 21 points from 16 games.
