Super Eagles midfielder Joel Chukwuma Obi has been handed the number 22 jersey at Chievo Verona for the new season, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The 27-year-old sealed a three-year contract at the Verona based club from Torino on Saturday ahead of the Serie A season.
Born in Nigeria in 1991, Obi joined the Flying Donkeys with his contract remaining one year at Torino, appearing in 52 games with the Turin club and scoring six goals.
Obi has great potential, he arrives in Verona fully motivated, ready for that boost following his three-spell at Torino.
He is a creative and technical player with playmaking ability in the tight space.
The Nigeria international midfielder also has an option to add a fourth year to the deal at the Stadio Bentegodi.
He will make his Chievo Verona debut against Juventus in the Serie A opener next Saturday.
