Super Eagles of Nigeria skipper John Obi Mikel has returned to the pitch after recovering from a knee injury.
Obi was on for the entirety of the game in his club Tianjin Teda’s 1-1 home draw against Jiangsu Suning FC in the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Saturday.
He showed no effect and was sharp throughout the tie at the Tianjin Olympic Sports Centre.
The 31-year old who last featured for Tianjin in the match with Chongqing Lifan before today’s clash missed five CSL games in the process.
This comes a good news for Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr who is hoping to have all his best players fit for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles next month.
