Super Eagles central defender William Troost-Ekong has revealed his delight to have officially signed for Udinese, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The 24-year-old passed a medical at Udinese on Friday to complete his move to Serie A.
He spent last season with Bursaspor, scoring twice in 34 League appearances, and joins Udinese for a reported €3.3m.
The defender who has previously played for Tottenham Hotspurs, Groningen, Dordrecht, KAA Gent and Haugesund wrote via Twitter, “Very happy to sign for @UdineseCalcio in the @SerieA !⚫️⚪️ #ForzaUdinese #AleUdin.”
Born in the Netherlands of Nigerian descent, Troost-Ekong played for Holland at Under-19 and Under-21 level, but eventually chose to represent Nigeria.
The defender has 24 senior caps for his country and one goal which was against DR Congo in an international friendly match.
