Nigeria striker Alhaji Gero is not getting overly worried after failing to score in three games for Esteghal in the Iranian Persian Gulf Pro League, reports Futbalgalore.com.
Former Flying Eagles striker Alhaji Gero played his third match for his Esteghal against Foolad in a 0-0 draw on Wednesday.
Fans had tipped the ex-Rangers product to score in Wednesday’s game at the Azadi Stadium but he fired blank.
Gero has however revealed that he is not losing over the development.
“It is the dream of any striker to score but am not under pressure to ensure that happens,” Gero told Futbalgalore.com.
“I am happy at my club and I am not angry that I haven’t started scoring.
“I believe my chance will come. It’s just a matter of time. I am delighted with my progress here and looking forward to scoring goals.”
The 24-year-old moved to the Tehran outfit this summer from Swedish side Ostersunds on a three-year contract.
