Aliyu Zubair has declared that Akwa United will continue to maintain their ambition and are not complacent for what they have already done.
The red hot Promise Keepers thrashed Hope of Glory 7-0 in the Aiteo Cup round of 64.
Heading to Enugu tomorrow to face Aklosendi, assistant coach Aliyu Zubair was quick to point out the reigning Aiteo Cup champions are not resting on their laurels just yet.
“The team is good, with very high spirits, even though the opponent is difficult and is in great shape,” Aliyu Zubair began in an interview with Futbalgalore.com.
“It is a workforce that continues to have ambition. We have not fallen into complacency for what we have already achieved. That is most important.”
The game between Akwa United and Aklodendi will take place at the Nnamsi Azikiwe Stadium on Sunday.
