Super Eagles winger Moses Simon aka “Nigerian Ronaldo” was impressive on his debut for Levante in their heavy 6-2 defeat to Sevilla on Sunday afternoon.
The 23-year-old proved his fitness by playing the final 18 minutes for Levante at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.
Simon’s enthusiasm on his debut for Granotas yielded a positive dividend in the 90th minute as Mark Kjaer scored an own goal when trying to clear his shot.
The game turned out to be a true baptism of fire for Simon who had hoped to use his move to Levante as a catalyst to shine at a more competitive league.
He tried his best for the hosts when he came off the bench.
Paco Lopez side must now galvanize themselves to get the needed result in their next match away to Real Valladolid.
