Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi understands the fans’ frustration with their poor start to the season.
There is no escaping the fact that the Chilli Boys are in the relegation zone after claiming five points from their opening six South African Premier League games and Akpeyi acknowledges that the club’s fans have every right to be angry.
“We understand their frustrations,” Akpeyi told Futbalgalore.com.
“But we are all together in this and this week in training we will all work hard to make sure we get the three points in the next game.”
“I think we can kick start our season with a win against Free State Stars in front of our fans.”
“My message to them is to come out in their thousands to cheer the team to victory. We won’t disappoint them. They deserve better.
