Nigeria international Efe Ambrose played for the full throttle against his former club as Hibernian fell to a 4-2 defeat to Celtic on Saturday in an entertaining Scottish Premier League game in Glasgow.
The versatile defender returned to a familiar terrain having featured for Celtic from 2012 to 2017.
First half strikes from Tom Rogic and Olivier Ntcham gave the home side a commanding lead, before an emphatic Flo Kamberi strike gave Neil Lennon’s side a lifeline.
Odsonne Edouard restored Celtic’s two goal lead on 70 minutes but Martin Boyle struck back minutes later, before Edouard finished the scoring in the dying minutes of the game.
Efe Ambrose has accumulated 51 caps and scored four goals for Nigeria at senior level.
