NFF Secretary General, Mohammed Sanusi, has given thumbs up to football administration in the out-going year despite the controversy that held back some major activities.
The NFF scribe noted that the country’s participation at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and the successful completion of the NFF elections were major high points of the year.
“2018 has been very good to Nigerian football. We participated in many events like the FIFA World Cup and the U20 Women’s World Cup,” Mohammed Sanusi said in chat with Sports Yarn Class.
“We have also qualified in all the competitions we have entered for. We have done very well in so many areas.
“We give glory to God, we had a very successful elections in Katsina.”
“It was a very difficult and turbulent one, where substantial part of the calendar had no activities. This disrupted league matches. Most of the leagues ended abruptly with special conditions. It was a very difficult one.”
“So far so good, our teams on the continent have performed well. I urge Nigerians to exercise patience and show understanding.”
