Southampton manager, Ralph Hasehuttl is reportedly looking to sign Nigerian Everton striker Ademola Lookman in the current January transfer window.
Hasehuttl has tipped the England U20 World Cup winner to be an important addition to his team which has gone without a win in their last four games.
According to Daily Star, Lookman who scored one of the goals in his side’s 2-1 FA Cup over Lincoln has managed to start in one Premier League game for the Toffees in the ongoing 2018/19 season, approximately tallying 459 minutes across all competitions.
Hasenhuttl reportedly orchestrated the 21-year-old loan move to Leipzig during the 2017/18 season where his talent came to light with five goals and four assists produced in just eleven games in the German Bundesliga.
Southampton could possibly look to sign a short-term agreement for the rising star who is behind the hierarchy of attackers at Goodison Park to help boost their front line.
Lookman originally signed a contract with Everton that would see him out till June 2021.
