Abia Warriors head coach Henry Makinwa has stated that he is aiming to lead Warriors to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) glory.
Asked on his thoughts on getting a new contract with the Umuahia-based club, Makinwa shared genuine appreciation, saying it’s a chance to better his career.
“I am very pleased with the contract. It’s a big opportunity for me to improve my career,” he said to NigeriaFootballLive.
“I think it is a symbiotic relationship where I know Abia will gain from my wealth of experience. As a coach, I’ve lived a country where football is well-packaged, like in Spain. I’ve lived there and I was trained there.
“So I think it is a 50-50 relationship. It is symbiotic, and we will both gain from each other. My target is to win the league this season,” Makinwa said concluded confidently.
Meanwhile, the Umuahia Warriors rounded up preparations with a 2-0 win over Rivers United in a friendly on Thursday afternoon.
