Peter Ubakanma has penned an emotional farewell to MFM FC and their fans after crossing to Rivers United.
Ubakanma will defend the colours of Rivers United in the 2018/19 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season after ending his one year stint at MFM FC.
”I want to take this golden opportunity to thank MFM FC as a whole. The management, the Technical Bench, my fellow players, the fantastic fans and above all the Almighty God for the support and chance they gave me to be what I am today,” the utility player told Futbalgalore.com.
“The atmosphere at MFM was a wonderful one. It was a family affair. Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu gave me the platform to perform and I will always remain grateful to him. I wish him well in the opening match against Enyimba and the 2018/19 season in general.”
“I made many great friends and became as close as family with most thank you for that. Thank you for applauding my effort and passion for the game of football.
“Life must go on. I really cherish the great moments shared at MFM. The fans at Agege Stadium rallied round us even at the difficult moments. My gratitude to them.”
“Thank you for acknowledging my love for MFM FC. The memories will be carried with me for the rest of my career. Knowing and appreciating the fact I had the pleasure of creating heartfelt memories with so many people. Thank you again for your heart, thank you for the motivation and excitement. God bless MFM FC,” he added.
