Rangers international forward Ibrahim Ajani believes that the experience that the team has gained in previous continental assignments is all that they need to beat Bantu FC.
The two sides lock horns on Sunday in the first leg of their CAF Confederations playoffs fixture at the Setsoto Stadium. Kickoff is at 3pm Nigerian time.
Ajani says that the team is now ready for the big stage and wants his side not to leave any stone unturned on Sunday.
“Everyone is focused, positive and determined and they want to go pick a result in Maseru on Sunday,” Ibrahim Ajani told Futbalgalore.com.
“We have experience on the continent after playing the big boys in the past and we cannot afford to be clumsy like it was at the start. The lads have to be fearless against Bantu FC and pick a good result in the 1st leg,” he added.
Rangers secured a 2-0 aggregate win over Algerian side Union Sportive Madinet Bel Abbes in the previous qualifying round.
The Sourthern African side got eliminated from the CAF Champions League by DR Congo side AS Vita club 5-2 on aggregate.
First leg encounter of the game between Rangers and Bantu is slated for Sunday, January 13, 2019 in Maseru.
The aggregate winner of the two-legged tie will advance to the CAF Confederations group stage.
