Didi Komboye (FC Ifeanyi Ubah)
In a game that no one gave FC Ifeanyi Ubah the chance of picking at least a point, Didi Komboye displayed determination at right back for the Anambra Warriors.
Emmanuel Makama (Nasarawa United)
Captain Makama provided the assist for Abubakar Abdullahi’s goal which proved to be enough for the Solid Miners who beat a stubborn Abia Warriors.
Abdulrazaq Aliyu (Elkanemi Warriors)
Aliyu shielded the back four very well and controlled his territory in an impressive win for Elkanemi Warriors against Akwa United in Uyo.
Dayo Ojo (Sunshine Stars)
Sunshine Stars needed a Pilot to steer them in a difficult away game. It was Dayo Ojo that showed up with a brilliant performance against Kwara United.
Ba’akaka Ajikolo (Elkanemi Warriors)
The hosts threatened fire and brimstone which largely turned out like a fruitlessly rare thunderstorm in the summer, Ba’akaka Ajikolo turned the match winner as Elkanemi got a result on opening day for the first time in four years.
Abdulrahman Bashir (Enyimba)
Abdulrahman menaced the MFM FC defenders and was often running through the channels. His effort was rewarded with a goal.
Franklin Sasere (Sunshine Stars)
The striker may have taken a backseat to the heroics of Ajikolo this weekend, but he was the life saver for Sunshine Stars with a lob over Yusuf Muhammed.
