Defender Sunday Chinedu took more value from Kano Pillars’ three points against Heartland on Sunday than from the one goal he managed.
The central defender helped settle matters at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Pillars’ favour with one striker in an eventual 1-0 win, to begin the 2018-19 season with three points.
“I am very happy for the goal, but mainly for the result,” reflected Sunday Chinedu to Futbalgalore.com.
“We had to start strong, and we have done well. The fundamental and most important aspect is that all of the team is going well.
“The Coach pushes us a lot and has us physically well prepared.”
“The opponent was strong, had quality and the game was complicated. But we handled it well.”
