Kaizer Chiefs have completed a deadline day signing of Nigerian international goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi.
Amakhosi have unveiled their new shot-stopper at a press conference on Thursday.
Chiefs coach Ernst Middendorp grew increasingly frustrated with reserve goalkeeper Virgil Vries following yet another blunder by the Namibian international against Cape Town City on Wednesday evening.
Chiefs have since scampered to bring in the 32-year-old Super Eagles star from Chippa United.
The Glamour Boys were earlier linked to Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Thela Ngobeni, but it would seem the club have failed in their pursuit of the former Free State Stars man.
Akpeyi, 32, was included in the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
He has also featured for Heartland, Warri Wolves and Chippa United in the past.
