Ademetan Abayomi selects his best XI from Week 10’s top action over an entertaining midweek
Victor Sochima [Kada City]
The Kada City ‘keeper had to be on his toes from the start as his team pipped Plateau United 0-1. Outstanding.
Festus Austin [Rivers United]
Tackles, interceptions, blocked shots and clearances: the defender was at his comfortable best limiting Bendel Insurance through the middle. Concrete.
Adeleke Adekunle [Go Round]
Adekunle had an ultra solid game and was arguably the game’s best defender. Kept the opposition quiet, limiting them by making the right clearance at the right time. Intimidating.
Innocent Gabriel [Elkanemi Warriors]
Thanks to the likes of the defender, Elkanemi Warriors maintained their 100% home record this season. He also scored the insurance goal in the win over Heartland. Daunting.
Afees Nosiru [Kwara United]
Ran the midfield at the heart of his side’s performance and was always looking to set up attacks. He scored the first goal. and had several attempts himself leaving defenders behind as slow as molasses in winter. Superb.
Henry Ochuba [Go Round]
Ochuba burned off the hosts, given the slightest chance, while scoring the only goal of the game to take the points from Gombe United. His man of the match display was electrifying. Exhilarating.
Ozor Philip [Kada City]
Menaced the Peace Boys and provided the assist for Sadiq Suleiman’s strike. Nuisance.
Yaya Kone [Lobi Stars]
Always there to launch dangerous forays. Kone netted two goals. He stood out with his technical forte and was one of the visitors’ main men leaving defenders as supple as a step-ladder. Defining.
Sadiq Suleiman [Kada City]
Continually causing problems for Plateau United’s defence and helped control the tempo throughout the game. Fatal as the fang of the most venomous snake, it was his goal that settled the game in Jos. Compelling.
Adeniji Kabir [MFM FC]
Another game, another goal for the MFM FC striker. Adeniji was on target from outside the box and scored his fourth goal of the ongoing campaign in seven appearances. Thunderous.
Michael Uchebo [Enugu Rangers]
Uchebo was up for it from the very first minute he was introduced, hurting the Wikki Tourists defence like the cut of a knife of frozen ice from a poisoned pool, with a goal and an assist. Fabulous.
