Southampton have reportedly made signing Everton youngster Ademola Lookman a priority in the Summer Transfer Window.
The 21-year-old impressed on loan at Leipzig in the 2017/18 season, scoring five goals and registering three assists in 11 appearances.
Lookman’s exploits helped Leipzig finish sixth in the Bundesliga table and secured a Europa League second qualifying round place.
In the recently concluded season, Lookman found game time hard to come by at Everton and he was linked with a move away from Goodison Park.
According to The Independent, Southampton are targeting talks with Everton about signing the former England Under-21 international.
The 21-year-old worked with Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl while on loan at RB Leipzig in 2018 and has struggled to make any impact at Everton since returning to Goodison Park.
And the former England Under-21 international has been put up for sale, with Hasenhuttl keen to push through a £20million summer transfer.
The winger joined Everton from Charlton Athletic in January 2017 and is contracted to the Goodison Park outfit until June 2021.
