Katsina United players are planning to boycott the game in protest of two months unpaid salaries, reports Futbalgalore.com.
United who are battling to beat the drop in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will face Enyimba in their last game of the season on Sunday.
The players who refused to train Wednesday morning despite pleas from officials of the club are planning to boycott the game unless their salaries are paid before then.
“They (the management) of the club have not paid us our salaries for the past two months,” an anonymous player told Futbalgalore.com.
“We did not train on Wednesday and we have made it known to the management of the club that we will not honour the game against Enyimba if our demands are not met.”
The Changi Boys are seventh on the Group A log with 27 points from 21 games.
They are at home to Enyimba at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
