Rosenborg BK continued to find their rhythm as Babajide David Akintola struck two minutes from time to earn his side a 1-0 victory over Brann on Sunday night.
The midfielder drilled home an upfield punt just as a tepid clash between the the two sides seemed to be heading for a stalemate.
The result pushed Rosenborg to 11th on the Eliteserien log with 12 points from 10 games.
Littered with errors and fouls in the first half, the game came to life after the break but produced no clear-cut chances until the talented Akintola struck in the 88th minute.
With time running out and coach Eirik Horneland frantically yelling instructions from the touchline, the former Haugesund midfielder produced a moment of magic to delight his team-mates. He showed his class when Pål-André Helland swung the ball in with the left foot and the midfielder did well to score.
Former Kwara United and Viking winger Samuel Adegbenro was benched throughout the match.
