Italian Serie A side, Atalanta are keen on signing Nigeria international striker, Victor Osimhen on a from Belgian club, RSC Charleroi.
According online news outlet, Le Soir, the Italian team have turned their attention to Osimhen following the decision of striker Duvan Zapata to move elsewhere.
The website hinted that negotiation is already going on between Atalanta and RSC Charleroi with the intention of taking the young striker to the former.
Atalanta are looking to add firepower to their attack with the acquisition of Osimhen who is also being courted by other clubs in Europe.
Osimhen, 20, recently signing permanently for Charleroi from Wolfsburg after they triggered his €3.5m release clause. where he has hugged the headlines for his goal scoring prowess.
The young forward netted 20 goals in 36 appearances for Charleroi in the 2018/19 season.
Osimhen came into limelight after starring for the Nigeria U-17 team – the Golden Eaglets, who won the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile. He won the Golden Boot and Silver Ball awards at the competition.
He has been capped three times at the international level by Nigeria.
