Southampton are interested in signing Ademola Lookman from Premier League rivals Everton in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.
It has been reported that Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl wants to bring the winger to St. Mary’s Stadium in a £20 million move.
Hasenhuttl worked with the 21-year-old winger during the second half of the 2017/18 season on loan at RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga in Germany.
Lookman has been on the books of Everton since January 2017 when he joined from Charlton Athletic for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £11 million.
The youngster has struggled to establish himself in the Toffees’ first team under manager Marco Silva, and it will not be a bad idea for the 21-year-old to move to Southampton if he is wanted by the Saints.
According to WhoScored, Lookman made three starts and 18 substitute appearances in the Premier League in the 2018/19 season, providing two assists in the process.
