A 64th minute goal from Ikechukwu Uche was enough to earn Gimnastic Tarragona a 1-1 draw with visitors Lugo in Spanish Segunda Division on Sunday night, reports Futbalgalore.com.
The forward was on target for the Nou Estadio de Tarragona outfit as his second half strike earned them a point.
It was his 121st career goal in Spain, having represented Racing Ferrol, Recreativo, Getafe, Real Zaragoza, Villarreal, Granada, UANL, Málaga and Gimnastic.
Lugo took the lead in the 63rd of the game when Cristian Herrera scored for them at the Nou Estadi de Tarragona.
The hosts pushed for a leveller, and instantly mustered a decent chance.
Uche did well to turn home Jeremy Perbet’s assist into the back of the net.
The striker, who won the African Cup of Nations in 2013, played 25 games and scored five goals for Gimnastic Tarragona in the 2018/19 Spanish Segunda Division season.
He has netted 21 goals in 75 appearances in his three-year stint at the club.
The 35-year-old played for the Super Eagles between 2007-2014, making 46 appearances and scoring 19 goals.
