Nigeria striker Samuel Adegbenro scored his first goal of the season for Rosenborg BK on Sunday as they defeated highly rated Valerenga 3-0.
The Kwara United product has a contract with RBK until the end of the 2021 season.
The 23-year-old scored Rosenborg’s first goal in the 16th minute from Babajide Akintola’s assist at the Lerkendal Stadion (Trondheim) in the Norwegian Eliteserien.
He popped up in the box to receive a through pass from Babajide to beautifully finish off.
Adegbenro, 23, finally opened his account for the season after four failed attempts.
At the opposing end, dazzling winger Chidera Ejuke fired blank for Valerenga.
The win moves Rosenborg to ninth place, 10 points behind leaders Molde.
