A round-up of Nigerian players that were in action for their respective clubs in Norway on Sunday.
In the early kickoff at the Briskeby,
Aalesund cruised to a 2-1 win over Hamarkameraten thanks to a goal each from Niklas Castro and Pape Habib Gueye.
While Izunna Uzochukwu was a starter for the winning team, Charles Ezeh came off the bench for Hamarkameraten after 80 minutes.
Over to the Notodden Stadion, former Nasarawa United forward Abubakar Ibrahim Aliyu fired blank as his team Notodden lost 2-0 to Sandefjord.
Flying Eagles forward Jerome Akor was benched for the full duration as Sogndal beat Stroemmen 4-2.
Striker Leke James hopped off the bench with 16 minutes left on the clock as Molde humbled Ramheim 2-0 in the Norwegian Eliteserien. The number 10 saw his strike go over with one minute left.
Elsewhere, Moses Ebiye was introduced off the bench in the 57th minute as 10-man Lillestrom lost 2-0 to Viking. Ex Flying Eagles forward Usman Saleh wasn’t given game time by the visitors.
At the Lerkendal Stadion, Samuel Adegbenro and Babajide Akintola were in the Rosenborg starting line-up that thrashed Valeranga 3-0.
Goals from Samuel Adegbenro, Yann-Erik de Lanlay and Alexander Soederlund
secured all three points for Eirik Horneland’s men.
Akintola provided the assist for Adegbenro. Winger Chidera Ejuke played the full game for Valeranga. Sam Adekugbe was a second half entrant.
