Hapoel Kfar Saba have signed experienced defender Sodiq Atanda on a free transfer from FK Partizani Tirana, Futbalgalore.com can report.
Atanda, a 25-year-old defender, has spent his entire professional career in Albania, and joined FK Partizani Tirana in January 2016, where he went on to make 91 appearances in the Superliga.
The club announced on Wednesday that the player will start a two-year contract upon the expiration of his contract with the Albanian club on the 30th June.
Whilst Atanda helped FK Partizani Tirana emerge as champions in the Albanian Super liga narrowly last season – Hapoel Kfar Saba gained promotion to the Israeli Ligat ha’Al.
Speaking to Futbalgalore.com the Hapoel Kfar Saba new signing expressed how pleased he was to continue his career in Israel. “For me it was always a dream to play in Isreal. And now I’ve seen everything here, I know that it’s an ambitious club. I’m very happy that I have the chance to play here.
“I’m very excited about everything – the club, the fans and my team mates so I’m ready for my journey here,” he added.
