Belgian Pro League outfit Koninklijke Racing Club Genk are closing on a deal for Nigerian international Stephen Odey, reports Futbalgalore.com.
Various reports in Belgium suggest that the agreement for the FC Zurich forward will be in place before the end of the week.
A four-year deal is being mooted, with the reigning Pro League champions paying over €2m to secure the former MFM FC hitman.
The transfer of Odey to Luminus Arena would have been completed before now, but Club Brugge attempted to throw a spanner in the works.
Odey joined Swiss side FC Zurich from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side MFM FC in 2017 and has since carved a niche for himself attracting interests from mainstream Europe.
That 21-year-old Nigerian striker managed to score ten times and delivered two assists in the Swiss Super League last term.
