Nigeria’s Stephen Odey has completed his move to Belgian Pro League outfit Koninklijke Racing Club Genk, managed by Felice Mazzu.
The 21-year-old has joined from from FC Zurich in Switzerland on a five-year deal worth €3.5m, after completing a routine medical.
Personal terms of the deal were not disclosed but sources have informed Futbalgalore.com that the former MFM FC striker will earn in excess of €7,000 per week.
The transfer of Odey to Luminus Arena would have been completed before now, but Club Brugge attempted to throw a spanner in the works.
Odey joined Swiss side FC Zurich from Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side MFM FC in 2017 and has since carved a niche for himself attracting interests from mainstream Europe.
The striker managed to score ten times and delivered two assists in the Swiss Super League last term.
During a two-year stint with FC Zurich, Odey scored 18 times in 60 appearances.
